A Note from the president...

We have just finished a trying but successful year. Hat's off to all the hard work our members and supporters have put in.

In a time where diversity is so important, especially for college students as they get ready to embark on the "real word", it is imperative that people take the time to explore other cultures and embrace them.

The reason I decided to start the Black Student Union at Lynn University is because I felt there was a need for such an organization. By not having the BSU at our school or any school for that matter, we were robbing the student body of the rich culture and heritage that embodies the African American Legacy. Our school is built on the notation of being an international university, and through our activities and events we carry on that mission.

As we embark on another year, we as members of the Black Student Union have to stick together, in order to improve race relations at our university and in the community.

I would also like to thank Mrs. Judy Welch for her hard work and dedication she truly went over the call of duty, and will be greatly missed.

Please take the time to go through our site and visit it frequently for updates.

Sincerely,

Felecia Hatcher

Lynn University

BSU President

F.A.A.S.A. Region 5 Director
